Privacy policy
RepostGrid splits images locally in your browser. The only images that reach our servers are banners you choose to submit to the gallery.
The splitter never uploads your photos. Splitting, previewing and downloading all happen on your device, on the website and in the Chrome extension. Uploading only happens when you submit a banner to the gallery.
The repostgrid.com website
Images. When you choose, drop or paste an image, your browser loads it into memory and uses the HTML Canvas API to cut it into tiles. The tiles are created and downloaded on your device. The image and the tiles are not sent to RepostGrid.
Videos and TikTok links. Files you choose in the video maker are edited locally and are not uploaded. When you choose Load video for a TikTok URL, RepostGrid sends that link to Snaptik to obtain an available no-watermark video and streams it through our server to your browser. We do not persist imported videos or links in our database or media storage. Cropping and exports happen on your device. Snaptik processes the supplied URL under its privacy policy. Import events sent to analytics contain only the result, not the URL, creator or video. For abuse prevention, we keep a salted IP hash and an attempt counter; expired counters are removed on subsequent import requests after 24 hours.
Analytics. The website uses Google Analytics 4 to count visits and to understand how the splitter is used, for example when someone uploads an image, picks a layout or downloads tiles. These events contain the layout, the number of tiles and the file format. They never contain your image, its file name or anything drawn in it. Google Analytics may set cookies and collects standard data such as your approximate location, device type and browser. See Google's privacy policy for details, or use a browser extension that blocks analytics if you prefer.
Fonts and libraries. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts and, when you download a ZIP, the JSZip library from cdnjs. These requests share your IP address with those services, as any web request does.
No accounts. There is no sign-up, and we don't sell or share personal data.
Gallery submissions
What we store. When you submit a banner, we store the image and its tiles, the TikTok links, the title, category, tags, description and creator handle you entered, and, if you give them, your email and your note to the reviewer. Images are stored with Cloudflare R2 and the rest in a Cloudflare D1 database.
Review and publishing. Submissions stay private until a reviewer approves them. Approved banners, their tiles, links and credits are public on repostgrid.com. Your email and note are never shown publicly.
Abuse prevention. To limit spam we keep a one-way hash of your IP address with each submission and report, and we may use Cloudflare Turnstile, which runs a short check in your browser. We don't keep your IP address itself.
Removal. To remove a banner you submitted, or one that uses your work, use the report link on its page or email the address below. We delete the images and data when a banner is removed.
The RepostGrid Chrome extension
The extension runs the same splitter in Chrome's side panel. It does not collect, sell, share or transmit personal data, and it does not include analytics.
Image processing. When you upload, drop or paste an image, the extension loads it into browser memory and uses the Canvas API to generate tiles locally. Generated files are downloaded directly by the browser.
Permissions. The extension requests the sidePanel permission so it can open in Chrome's side panel when you click its icon. It does not request host permissions and does not read or change web pages.
Remote code. The extension does not run remote code. All of its scripts are packaged with it.
